About Carolyn Sheridan
Imagine driving down a rural roadway one early spring morning. Woods decorated both sides of the road. Mule deer poking their heads out to see if it’s all clear. The turkeys were not as cautious as the deer and could be seen just wandering in the roadway. I noticed the truck in front of me kept hitting his breaks. All of a sudden, the truck in front of me swerved out of the way to far side of the road. I thought, “crap, I’m fixing to hit a deer”. Instead of a deer, it was another vehicle, traveling the wrong way in my lane at 55 mph. The head on collision broke my nose, breast bone, collar bone, dislocated my shoulder, and knocked me unconscious with a sever concussion. Broke several ribs that also punctured my lung. My back was broken as well as my leg where both bones shattered below the knee cap. Both ankles are fractured to this day. Where bone used to be is now replaced with metal implants. 2014 sucked, to say the least. Jump ahead a few years, I get a Canon Rebel T6 for Christmas. I read books, a lot of books to teach myself how to use this beauty of a camera. I study macro photography, black and white, how to use a photography sphere and anything that I thought would make me a better photographer. Little did I know how this camera would change my way of life. It gets me outside, hiking, fishing, escaping to the mountains. It lets me capture my kids, my dogs and my love of outdoors, no matter the weather. I hope you enjoy the fruits of my labor and hopefully you appreciate the little things in life.
